A private development project renovating a long vacant 1913 residence into offices. Tremendous care was taken to restore the original oak and walnut hardwood floors, mahogany sliding glass paneled doors, mahogany staircases, banisters and other period architecture such as baseboards pictures rails and crown moldings. The project is a Peaches and Pits Award winner, one of six Peach Awards ever given. Cressey Manor and Pacific Design Associates, Inc. was the recipient of a 1987 Stanislaus County Historical Society Excellence in Historical Preservation Award.
Citation Award 1995 Excellence in Architecture Creekside Golf Course Clubhouse Modesto, California
The Clubhouse at the Creekside Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of Modesto and serves as a public course. The raised facility begins dramatically in the catherdral main lobby that serves as a spine from front to back and locates the wings to take advantage of the golf course views, with the pro shop on one side and the dining and food service on the other. The peaked lattice porch and columns on the front and rear of the building extend the usable area of the facility to the outdoors, while unifying the facades and providing energy efficiency. The half round canopies flank the peaked lattice entries and are repeated inside at the pro shop and the dining area.
