Fire Station #242 for the City of Manteca contains facilities for dorms, living quarters, four engines, one battalion chief SUV, offices, maintenance workshops, turnouts, hazardous material containment, exercise area, additional parking for large vehicles, radio tower and security storage areas.  The 9,235 sf single story structure cost $1,302,734.00 with all the alternate bids, which the City accepted.  PDA has completed other projects with multiple apparatus bays, two story additions, vertical shafts for elevators and hose towers, footings for multi-ton rated lifts and hoists, emergency generators and many other unique needs for fire departments.  We have specified projects with decontamination, ventilation of apparatus bays, alarm systems, and safety features found only in immediate response facilities.
