Pacific Design Associates, Inc. had the unique opportunity to complete the work on the Fire Restoration Project for McHenry Village beginning in April, 1994. The management of the complex made commitments to the "burned out" tenants to restore their businesses by mid-November. Delays in agreements with the insurance companies set the project start date back to late May. The Design Team began the design in June and construction documents in July. Prior to the final design being accepted, the foundations and site designs were fast-tracked with the General Contractor and the City of Modesto. The finished construction documents for the shell were submitted in late August / early September. The tenant improvements were designed and submitted by early October. The promised spaces were delivered on time and under budget for the holiday shopping season. Please contact Mr. Robert Fleischer, Property Manager for Standard Management (209) 523-6473 for his comments.
The McHenry Village Project was quickly followed by the Sheriff's Operational Center Project for Stanislaus County. The two story office complex was programmed by Daniel C. Smith and Associates, Inc. in conjunction with a Sacramento design firm. The project was bid as a design-build package with the construction documents (60% of the work) remaining to be completed. The project schedule called for 120 days for the completion of the documents and specifications. The Design Team completed the assignment in 78 days, a 35% reduction in the schedule. The underground and site work designs were completed and submitted as a fast-track item to Stanislaus County. The project was completed one month early by the construction team. Please contact the prime of our design-build team, Mr. Philip Mastagni, Acme Construction, Inc. (209) 523-2674 for his references.
Pacific Design Associates will provide you the same level of commitment and service on your facilities as was provided on the above projects. We believe firmly in the team approach, extending the circle to include the owner, the staff, the general contractor and the subcontractors. The "Work Together Attitude" that drives our desire to complete our work on-time, under-budget also leaves smiles on the faces of all the participants. Give us the chance to work with your staff and we will provide you with a "SUCCESSFUL PROJECT".
